
Having completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree at the University of Melbourne Peter spent the first decade of his career within the Chartered Accounting profession. In 1988 he commenced as a graduate accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick Hungerfords and then spent time at two mid-tier firms.
In 1997 Peter left the Chartered environment and spent the next four years at the St Kilda Football Club as the Finance Manager. During this period he also completed an MBA at the Monash Mt Eliza Business School and upon completing his degree in 2001 he joined the Foster’s Group and worked within their leisure business – Australian Leisure & Hospitality Group. Peter was a part of the management team when the ALH Group was floated on the ASX in November 2003 and was an integral part of the takeover team when the business was acquired by the Woolworths/BLM Hotel Group joint venture twelve months later.
For the past 13 years Peter has been with PFD Food Services – (Australia’s largest privately owned food distribution business) and during this time has held a number of senior executive roles. He remains a key member of the executive leadership team which has overseen the growth of the business from $600m to just under $2billion in the current year.
Peter is an avid cyclist and has also been a member of the Yarra Yarra golf club for the past 15 years.
